Dr. Therese Alban graduated summa cum laude from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. She then went on to receive her medical degree (with honors) from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She continued her studies by completing an intensive residency in ophthalmic and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Since 1999, Dr. Alban has specialized in refractive surgery. Her aim has been to provide quality patient care in the field of vision correction procedures utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Alban’s goal is to foster a compassionate and friendly environment, using a personalized approach that encourages patients to be active participants in their journey. This allows her to ensure that each patient receives the best level of care possible.
Dr. Alban has belonged to numerous honor societies during her studies, including Alpha Omega Alpha (the national medical honor society) and Phi Beta Kappa (the undergraduate national honor society). During her residency, she received awards for her clinical, surgical, and research skills. She also regularly presents at industry events and educates fellow eye care physicians.
