With this procedure, the surgeon will correct the dominant eye (the better-functioning eye) to see from far distances and the other to see from near distances. By correcting each eye for better vision at different distances, patients can expect to have functional vision without relying on glasses or contact lenses for tasks that require up-close reading vision as well as for those that require distance vision. This means your post-surgery vision will resemble what it looks like through bifocals only without the glasses.
