My decision to get laser vision correction was an easy one. I never wore my contacts when I went snowboarding because I didn't want to deal with them, especially on important race days. I chose to see less clearly during competition, rather than deal with all the hassles associated with contacts, including the changes in humidity, altitude, and fuss of traveling with them.
Because of this, I was always riding and racing with blurry vision. On sunny days I could get by, but on low light days it was impossible to see any of the bumps and ruts in the snow. Because snowboardcross racing requires split second decisions, I was not as sharp as I could have been when I committed to tricky lines.
Once I had surgery at LASIK MD, I was thrilled by the ease of the procedure and immediate results. The whole process was amazing. Everyone at the office was friendly and approached their job with professionalism and a smile. The surgery was explained clearly with enough details to know exactly what to expect. There were no surprises.
Now I love riding even more on those foggy coast mountains days (that we seem to experience a little too frequently...)
Thank you very much LASIK MD!
