Educational Background

Dr. Samuel Levallois received his medical degree from the Université de Laval in Quebec City in 2010. He then moved to Montreal in order to complete his residency in Ophthalmology in several hospitals affiliated with the Université de Montreal.

Experience

Dr. Levallois completed his training in refractive surgery at LASIK MD with some of the most experienced surgeons in North America.

Dr. Levallois has performed over 2,500 ocular procedures and has a great deal of experience in the field. While attending the Université de Montréal, he pursued internships within the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) network of hospitals. While working towards his medical degree at Université Laval, Dr. Levallois gained experience as a research intern at the Ophthalmology Research Centre and as a graduate assistant in the Anatomy Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine at the Université Laval (CHUL). He also served as a research assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval, where his duties included assessing complications in ocular tissue transplants. He has previously worked both for the Collège des médecins du Québec and the Medical Council of Canada in 2011 in a position that saw him evaluating the credentials of international medical graduates looking to obtain their Canadian medical licenses. Dr. Levallois currently serves as the Ophthalmologist at the Centre de santé et de services sociaux d’Arthabaska-et-de-l’Érable (CSSSAE) in Victoriaville. His numerous qualifications contribute to his success as a trusted LASIK MD surgeon.

 

Accomplishments and Awards

Dr. Levallois has conducted significant research in the field of eye care and his work has appeared in the British Journal of Ophthalmology. He has also presented results of his studies at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Canadian Ophthalmology Society (COS). Between 2011 and 2015, Dr. Levallois has volunteered his time at the Centre d’apprentissage des attitudes et habiletés cliniques at the Université de Montréal, a learning centre that teaches proper practical clinical skills.
