Whether it’s picking out a cross-ice pass or aiming for the top-corner, I need to be able to trust my vision on the ice. Contacts would irritate my eyes, or worse fall out during a game, so they were just too unreliable. Off the ice, glasses and contacts were a constant hassle in my life, and the hectic travel schedule of the NHL made me dislike my contacts even more. I always had to make sure I packed an extra box of lenses, a contact case and solution. Safe to say I was looking for another option, so I looked into LASIK.
