Educational Background

Dr. Stephen Brodovsky completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Manitoba. After medical school, Dr. Brodovsky worked for three years as an emergency room physician at Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg. Following this, he completed his residency and earned his specialization in ophthalmology at Queen’s University, where he served as chief resident. He continued with a post-doctoral fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in association with Melbourne University in Melbourne, Australia.

Refractive Experience

Dr. Brodovsky has more than eight years of experience as a LASIK and PRK specialist, and he has performed over 5,000 procedures. He maintains a private practice in Winnipeg where he focuses on corneal, cataract and refractive surgery. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba in the department of ophthalmology.

Dr. Brodovsky’s interest in international ophthalmology has led him to work in Indonesia, Nepal and Ethiopia, where he trained a local ophthalmologist in corneal transplantation and cataract surgery.

Accomplishments and Awards

Dr. Brodovsky has participated in various research projects and had his articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also given presentations at numerous ophthalmology conferences and events.
