Educational Background

Dr. Nimesh Desai received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with distinction) from Ohio Northern University. He then earned his medical degree and specialization in ophthalmology at the University of Western Ontario in London, and graduated on the Dean’s List for both his undergraduate and medical degrees. He did his residency at the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Eye Institute, where he served as chief resident.

Refractive Experience

In addition to his duties with LASIK MD, Dr. Desai is also on staff at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital where he practices comprehensive ophthalmology. He has performed over 1,000 ocular procedures, and is dedicated to using the latest technologies and techniques in cataract and refractive surgery. During his residency, Dr. Desai had the privilege of training with some of the top eye surgeons in the country.

Accomplishments and Awards

Dr. Desai was awarded the ‘Best Research Project’ at the annual Resident’s Research Day Presentation during his residency. He has had his research published in various scientific and medical journals. Throughout his academic training, Dr. Desai also received numerous awards for excellence in teaching as well as various grants for research and presentations.
