Educational BackgroundDr. Eric Tam completed his medical degree and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. He entered private practice in 2003 in Brampton and Mississauga, where he has developed a successful anterior segment surgery practice focusing on cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Tam is an active Attending Surgeon at William Osler Health Centre in Brampton, as well as at Mount Sinai Hospital and Kensington Eye Institute in Toronto. Refractive ExperienceDr. Tam has performed over 1,000 ocular procedures. Over the past five years, he has taught numerous ophthalmologists-in-training how to perform cataract surgery using the latest technologies, techniques and lens implants. Dr. Tam is proud to have experience with a wide array of cutting-edge refractive technologies, such as clear lens extractions, multifocal lenses and astigmatic keratotomy. Accomplishments and AwardsDr. Tam is a lecturer for the University of Toronto’s ophthalmology residency program. He has published articles on Ophthalmology in scientific literature. He has also given presentations at major ophthalmology conferences, including at the Canadian Ophthalmologic Society. Dr. Tam speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese.
