Educational Background
Dr. Robert B. Morgan completed his medical degree and a specialty
in ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa.
Refractive Experience
Dr. Morgan practiced general ophthalmology in Northern Ontario for
2 years and returned to Ottawa in 1979 where he has been practicing
ophthalmology for over 26 years. He has previously held the
position of Chief of Ophthalmology at the Montfort Hospital in
Ottawa. He also provided ophthalmology services to Northern Ontario
through the Underserviced Area program for 20 years.
Dr. Morgan has worked in several laser vision
correction clinics in Ottawa. He became involved with laser vision
correction in 1994 and became a certified PRK specialist in 1996.
He started performing PRK at the Focus Eye Center in Ottawa in
1996. He has been a Medical Director at Laser Eye Tech in Kanata
and a Medical Director at Lasik Vision 2020 in Ottawa and
Kingston.
He became certified in LASIK in 1998 and has
performed over 10,000 refractive procedures. Dr. Morgan has also
performed thousands of Zyoptix wavefront procedures. He has
extensive use with the VISX’s and Technolas laser
systems.
Accomplishments and Awards
In spring of 2001, he was the recipient of a Consumer’s
Choice Award for laser vision correction.
