Educational BackgroundDr. John Lloyd’s training includes ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Albert Einstein Medical College in New York, where he was named chief resident. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of the American and Canadian Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Refractive ExperienceDr. Lloyd has been performing laser vision correction surgery since 1997. He previously performed this procedure at the Bochner Eye Institute in Toronto and is now part of the LASIK MD team. Dr. Lloyd became interested in refractive surgery after his wife underwent the procedure and was thrilled with her results! Dr. Lloyd is certified in several types of excimer lasers, including the state-of-the-art Bausch & Lomb Z100. Dr. Lloyd teaches eye surgery to ophthalmology residents and medical students at the University of Toronto. He is on staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, as well as at the new Kensington Eye Center.
