Educational BackgroundDr. Guy LeBlanc completed his medical degree and specialization in Ophthalmology at Laval University in Quebec City. Subsequent to his studies in Quebec, Dr. LeBlanc received subspecialized training at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He currently detains certification in Ophthalmology in Quebec. He is a highly skilled ophthalmologist. Refractive ExperienceDr. LeBlanc is one of the most experienced ophthalmic surgeons in New Brunswick and is a pioneer in the field of cataract and refractive surgery. He has over 20 years experience in phacoemulsification and was a pioneer in cataract surgery by phacoemulsification in Atlantic Canada. Dr. LeBlanc has also been performing refractive surgery since 1997. He was the first ophthalmologist to use an excimer laser and perform refractive surgery in New Brunswick. He has performed over 15,000 ocular procedures which include cataract and refractive surgeries. He is currently on staff at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Accomplishments and AwardsDr. LeBlanc joined the University of Moncton
where he will teach medical students during the Ophthalmology
rotation. In this program, he will be introducing medical students
to the field of Ophthalmology including cataract and refractive
