Educational
Background
Dr. Richard Léger completed his medical
degree at the University of Sherbrooke and completed his residency
in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal in conjunction with
the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital and the Notre-Dame Hospital.
Refractive Experience
Dr. Léger has worked in several laser
centers throughout Canada. His experience in refractive and
cataract surgery includes working at Laser Visuel in Quebec,
Laservue in Montreal and Lasik Vision at the Vancouver and Burnaby
clinics in British Columbia. Dr. Léger was the Medical
Director at the Windsor clinic in Ontario, one of the busiest
clinics in Canada.
Dr. Léger has extensive experience in
laser surgery including the use of the VISX, Bausch & Lomb,
Autonomous, and Lasersight lasers as well as the ACS and Hansatome
keratome. Dr. Léger has also performed thousands of
Zyoptix wavefront procedures. As a cataract and refractive surgeon,
Dr. Léger instructs the LASIK procedure to
ophthalmologists-in-training.
