LASIK MD Laser Eye SurgeryHyperopia (Farsightedness)

Hyperopia is also known as farsightedness, which means that you have difficulty focusing on close objects. The eye is shorter than normal; the light rays diverge before reaching the retina, and are therefore out of focus on the retina. Nearby objects can appear blurry, while distant objects are clearer. Very farsighted patients will report that even they are unable to focus on objects at any distance.

Hyperopia

To correct this problem, a laser vision correction surgeon uses a precise laser to flatten the peripheral area of the cornea to make it more curved. Therefore, this correction allows light rays to focus directly onto the retina for a clear vision. LASIK MD will determine, based on your prescription, the customized vision solution to correct your vision problem.
